Self-Serve eCommerce
PROBLEMSTACK’s 2026 Q2 goal was to grow new ARR 20% and allow buyers to purchase directly without needing to connect with a salesperson.
StrategyPartner with the CFO to align pricing and packaging options, then collaborate with product owners, engineers and product ops to diagnose a disjointed checkout path and rebuild how buyers purchase.
ExecutionI helped guide product owners, product engineers and a junior designer through pricing tests, AI prototypes and a rollout across pricing, partner, sales and in-app pages. I delegated e-comm page builds and coached the designer on the new functionality.
ResultsMonthly pricing showed a 16.9% higher conversion rate, and the self-serve push contributed to 35% new-logo growth. Buyers can now purchase without Sales involvement, marketing owns pricing without engineering support, and the system has been reused across partner and individual sales rep pricing pages.
SummarySTACK's pricing work spans my tenure and peaked in 2026 with a move to self-serve e-commerce. As creative director, I helped guide product, engineering and design partners. The Q2 goal was to grow new ARR and let buyers purchase without a salesperson. I partnered with the CFO to align pricing and packaging options. With product owners, engineers and product ops, I diagnosed a disjointed checkout path: Buy Now buttons only worked for logged-in buyers. I helped define moving checkout out of the app.
Next, I built staging pages for leadership review and helped design a monthly pricing test. The monthly option showed a 16.9% higher conversion rate, which I used to align leadership on launch. I worked with product owners and engineers to rebuild in-app purchase, retiring old subscription pages. I helped shape a Subscriptions page that shows plan limits and prompts upgrades after trials or when adding users. When the license modal mockup fell short, I built an AI prototype instead of writing feedback. I also used AI to help design and build a Build Your Own Subscription flow that quotes a custom price and links to checkout. I held the marketing site as pricing's source of truth.
In rollout, I timed go-lives to product releases and confirmed links. In April 2026, purchases began routing straight to checkout, and marketing took ownership of pricing without engineering. I extended the system to partner, sales rep and legacy-account pages, plus in-app popups. I delegated e-comm page builds to a junior designer and coached them on the new functionality. By August, leadership cited monthly billing as working, and this work contributed to 35% new-logo growth. Most recently, I helped guide a project-based, pay-as-you-go plan test for habitual free users and proposed skipping its landing page for direct checkout.
